Christmas With Elvis. . .

Last week, Rob and Kurt had the good fortune to be in the right place at the the right time, resulting in a new contract with the Civic Center to be their house A/V company. This means that all shows that are put on in the auditorium will require our labor and/or our equipment. They pay us a flat fee and we give them a certain number of hours each month. They stay relatively busy in the winter months so this could work out just great for all of us! Although we've worked at the center quite a bit in the past, Sunday was our first official gig as "house sound".

It was a Gospel Jubilee Christmas program complete with Elvis singing, "Blue Christmas":

I guess it just wouldn't be Christmas without Elvis. . . .

There were also shepherds and a manger scene. . .

And, of course, Elvis was one of the Kings that came to worship the newborn babe:

It was quite a program. . .

The Gospel Jubilee plays most Sunday's in the auditorium so I have a feeling I'll be seeing Elvis again. And again. And again. . .
