A few weeks ago my neice, Kelsey, decided the ladies in the family needed to go out to tea during spring break. Jeanie made reservations at the local tea house and here we are!

Kelsey and Gloria:

This is just one example of the delicious food we enjoyed at lunch. It's a Monte Cristo:

Poor Zach wasn't invited to the tea party. He's been messing around with the video camera lately:

Rob drove to Southern CA and back Wednesday and Thursday to pick up some speakers. He left around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday and arrived home at about 4 a.m. Friday. When Gloria woke up this morning, she was very happy to see her daddy:

Today was the last day of Spring Break swimming lessons. Gloria had a lot of fun and learned a few things to boot.

She started her first swimming lesson when she was about 7 months old. I ran across this picture last night and just couldn't help myself!!:

I guess she's changed a little bit. . .

The girls got to go off of the drop-off today:

We had a soccer game tonight that was scheduled at 10:10 p.m. but the other team was a no-show. There were enough players hanging around to form two teams for a scrimmage game. Rob played the field rather than goalie and had a great time. Dale took a turn at keep and did a great job.

Zach is staying the night at Andrew's tonight and Megan is staying here. I snapped this picture when I dropped him off. . .

. . . and Kristin e-mailed me this picture from their computer with the funky photo-shop feature:

The song, "Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot, brought me some hope today:
Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone’s here
Everyone’s here
Everybody’s watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
What happens next
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before
Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
Tension is here
Between who you are and who you could be
Between how it is and how it should be
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened before

4th day of Spring Break!

The girls have made a new friend this week:

Gloria has really been enjoying swimming lessons this week. She's a good swimmer and loves the water- I'm hoping she'll want to sign up for a swim team in the fall.

After lessons we went back to the shop so I could work on month-end books. This was supposed to be my week off but I knew it wouldn't be possible. I've still had some time in the evenings and most of this afternoon. I've been feeling quite overwhelmed with chaos and haven't quite recovered from the last event. . . I'm thankful that my kids are great at going-with-the-flow. I'm not sure if it's good or bad that the shop is just like home. I guess it's a little of both. . .

My babies are growing up. :(

Day 2 of Spring Break!

Two little fishies:

I had lunch with Louise after swimming lessons. She and Gil have some great toys in the back room. I was surprised when I told the kids to clean up and get ready to go to find that they had already picked everything up and were sitting in the chair playing Zach's Gameboy:

Another soccer game tonight. We played really well, but we still lost.

After the game, Rob and I went back to the shop to finish up a couple of cases that have to go out tomorrow:

I haven't drilled and rivoted in quite awhile but I actually enjoy doing it from time to time:

For some reason, everytime I use power tools, I want my dad to see it!! I guess it's that need to impress your parents no matter how old you are. . .
