Maxton. . .

On Monday, December 20th, 2010, Maxton lawfully became an official member of the family. There was a formal hearing with a judge and an attorney and Matt and Marr had to confirm their intentions of adoption and sign some papers but it was just formality. Max has been a member of the family since they brought him home from the hospital over 5 months ago! Gloria and I were very happy to be a part of the proceedings and, of course, I documented it in photos to mark this very, very special and momentous occasion!

Big sister, McKenna was very excited!! And smart! And articulate when the judge asked her questions.

I wasn't allowed to take pictures during the proceeding but it all went very smoothly. The judge was very nice and Max didn't make a peep until the very end when he rememered he was hungry. And even then, his peeps are just so cute. . .

I really wanted a picture of Max and the judge but he wasn't too happy when they took his bottle away for the picture!! I don't think the judge was too sure about it either!!

I hope he doesn't come to associate his Aunt Tanya with the negative connotations of bottle removal for pictures!!

Still concerned. . .

The morning made for a very nice early Christmas present. Really, what else do we need?? Thanks Matt and Marr for inviting us to be a part of this very special occasion!!
