Mmmmm. . . donuts. . . .
After the gift-opening and the birthday donuts, a bunch of us took a walk. . .
The girl in pink is Cody's cousin on the other side of the family. She and Gloria only see each other a couple of times a year but they get along great and enjoy getting together. . .
McKenna had fun throwing rocks in the water. . .
There were lots of good photo ops . . .
Cody took us along the path to the place where he swam a lot during the summer . . .
. . . and he actually got in the water!! It wasn't freezing outside but it was definitely below 80 degrees. Maybe even 75!! I got the chills just watching!!
I couldn't decide if he was being brave or stupid when he grabbed ahold of the rope swing and jumped into the water!!
I think it was a little of both and he did it several times!!
Kelsey decided to try it, too, although she just dove in without getting wet first!

Rob can't resist skipping stones. . .
The younger girls weren't allowed to jump into the water but we did let them wade in a little bit. Gloria said it wasn't even cold. . . yeah, right. . .
This was the last of the summer birthday parties. . .
