Small World. . .

The strangest, coolest, most amazing thing happened last week. I found a long lost friend. That alone might be strange but not all that cool or amazing. The amazing, cool part of this is how and where I found her!! We have known Kurt for about a year now- we've run sound for his band, Straight Away, and he's worked a few events with us. In the last few weeks he has been building a stage trailer with Rob and planning to work with us on a full-time basis. Turns out, his wife also happens to be my long-lost friend!!! She was actually my very first friend when my family moved to Boise from Mtn. Home. We hung out our entire sophomore year and then somehow drifted apart the summer between our sophomore and junior years and then she moved away and we completely lost touch. She called me when she discovered who I was and we chatted on the phone for a really long time. It was so good to talk to her and we both have really good memories of our friendship 25 years ago. Seems like just yesterday. Anyway, I dug out my yearbooks and a big box of memorabilia from the attic and relived some of my high school days. . . I found a couple of pictures and her signature in my yearbook- the inside front cover! How amazing is that??

We were already planning to have dinner with them on Friday night to discuss future plans, but when we figured out our connection, all we could talk about was high school. Rob went to Borah, too, so he had stories of his own and we all laughed our heads off. I can't remember when I've laughed so much!!

We talked a little business, too, and tried to include Kurt. . .
I'm pretty sure that none of this can just be chalked up to "fate" or "Karma". I'm looking forward to watching all of this unfold. . .
