Disney. . .

Thanks to the generosity of a couple at church, Gloria and I had a girl's afternoon out at Disney On Ice last Sunday!!! It was amazing!

Most of the Disney characters were highlighted during the two hour show. . . Starting with Aladdin:

Next came Finding Nemo which was incredible. Especially the shark!

Mickey and Minnie introduced many of the acts and were very entertaining narrators:

Beauty and the Beast managed to tell the whole story in a matter of about 10 minutes. It was beautiful!!

This is the beast when he's giving up after being attacked by Gaston:

And this is how he looked after being transformed by Belle's love. . . Awww. . .

It was beautiful. . .

Cinderella and her prince joined Belle and the Beast out on the ice. . .

. . . Followed by Snow White and Pocahontas and their leading men. . .

It was very sweet. . .

The effects for the show were great. Lots of lighting changes and plenty of fog:

This was the Toy Story set:

Gloria was mesmerized throughout the show:

Donald Duck helped Mickey and Minnie. . .

One of my favorite parts of the show was the Small World exhibition. The costumes and props were gorgeous.

The story of Pinocchio was very well done:

More Mickey and Minnie. . .

. . . and Goofy. . .

Mulan actually had snow in one of the battle scenes. Snow, falling from the ceiling of the arena! We need to get a snow machine. . .

The Incredibles were . . . pretty incredible. . .

I'd have to say my very favorite, though, was The Lion King. I took a wonderful video from the scene where Nala and Simba fall in love but the file is refusing to upload. . .

It was beautiful. . . This is one of my favorite Disney movies. . .

The two hours passed very quickly and the finale' was great with all of the skaters taking the ice:

The skaters eventually skated around the sides of the rink, shaking hands with lucky audience members. Of course, Gloria quickly made her way down to the rink at the first opportunity and had a chance to shake a few hands. . . She was thrilled!

It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. . .

. . . Way more fun than going to the mall. . .

Good thing Rob wasn't there. I would see a snow machine in your future. Ha ha.
