On Friday, Zach started a new unit in Physical Science on cloud formations and weather. One of the experiments requires him to keep a weather journal for a month, keeping track of daily cloud formations, barometric pressure, precipitation and outside temperatures. Of course, I have to take it a step further and take pictures of the clouds each day for him to identify. We may even set up a weather blog for the month just for fun. Here are some of the pictures we've taken over the last several days and Zach's identifying labels:
Cumulonimbus Clouds
Nimbostratus Clouds
Cumulus and Cirrus Clouds
Cumulus Clouds
Nimbostratocumulus Clouds
Cumulus and Cirrus Clouds
Cloudless
We've had some pretty strange weather the last few days ranging from sunshine to hail to thunder and lightening so the timing for this experiment is perfect.
