So. . . it's been a weird month. Maybe even a weird year. Some days it seems like my life is spontaneously taking off in 50 different directions. Or at least 10. Laura suggested the other day that I might want to update my blog and I decided I had too much and too little to say so I just posted a picture of her when we were in high school. Your welcome! Anyone else have any suggestions?
Anyway, there really is too much going on but too little to write about. I have a lot of loose ends and maybe I just need something that has an ending in order to write about it. Right now it seems like everything in my life is open ended and all I want is a little closure. On something. Anything. But I'm just not there yet.
But, in order to rescue Laura from the top of my blog, I'm going to post these pics of Gloria that I took just after the torrential rain storm we had yesterday. We had just had three beautifully sunny days and then yesterday the rains hit hard. Amazingly hard. One of those days that you almost have to just watch in awe to see what the skies are going to do next. Sheets of rain fell making visibility while driving slim to none.
And then the sun came out, leaving behind lakes of water where parking lots used to be. I was driving the old Subaru when Gloria and I stopped to get something to eat after school so I decided not to navigate this "lake" with the car so Gloria jumped out to see just how deep it really was:
In this picture, she's still on a little sidewalk/curb thing. . .
She was a little bit afraid of what might be down there in that murky water. . .
But she stepped off of the curb anyway. . .
The deepest part was almost up to her knees!!
I was thankful I didn't try to navigate through it with the Subaru. We might still be sitting there.
PS As soon as I have closure on a few projects, I'll find something interesting to say. Or not.
PPS Sorry to have tortured you for so long, Laura! I thought your high school picture brightened up my blog quite a bit!! :)

Thank you for saving me! I was a little disturbed by seeing myself but it did bring back some memories!
