Jim Witter and The Piano Men. . .

Every once in awhile a show really is "fun and easy". (Rob uses that phrase often to describe a future event that, in reality, is rarely fun OR easy. . . ). Maybe it's just my opinion that it was fun and easy because I missed the entire set up due to unforeseen circumstances (like forgetting Gloria's Friday lunch. . .) but everything seemed to go very smoothly. The artist's plane was late so what could have been a panic-driven sound check was actually a short but sweet sound check just before they had their catered dinner. No one was stressed and everyone was nice. I really like nice people.

Everything looked lovely. . .

The show itself was really great. Very talented musicians and entertainers. Rob was on sound and Kurt was on lights so I just sat back and watched. And laughed. You'd almost think I wasn't working at all. The funny thing is, Jim Witter thanked me personally from the stage for working so hard all day. Usually we get thanks to "the crew" or thanks to "Rob and Company" or something along those lines. So I appreciated the sentiment but actually didn't deserve it! He also thanked Rob and Kurt personally and they really did deserve it. He even inserted their names into his last Billy Joel song, The Piano Man. It was pretty funny. . .

The following You Tube video from a concert in Pocatello is a pretty good representation of last night's concert:
