Working Vacation, Day 2, Part 1. . .

So far, I'm feeling very optimistic that this event is, indeed, a working vacation for me. . .

We spent the morning scoping out the two sites where we will be setting up the canopy lights and audio over the next few days. The stage is being provided locally (YAY!) and the generator had already been dropped off before our arrival. . .

There were a few moments when we wondered if the generator would actually start up and run continuously, but after a few rough starts it decided to behave. . .

The area we'll be setting up in for Saturday's concert is absolutely beautiful. The fireworks will be set off right on the end of this jetty:

The stage will be set up on this nice, flat surface facing the hotel:

When everyone felt comfortable with the plan for Saturday, we jumped in the van, drove across the bridge and headed to the set up site for Sunday's event. . .

It took a little while to decide on stage placement but it wasn't too difficult. . .

Once again, the location was beautiful. . .

So. . . if everything goes according to plan, this should be a lovely weekend. . .

Unfortunately, in my world, things rarely go according to plan. Not trying to jinx anything. . . I'm just sayin' . . .
